The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a military-oriented program for young men and women aged 10 to 17 years. It is aeronautical and nautical-based with outstanding support from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard. Cadets are allowed to train side-by-side military personnel in the repair of aircraft and ships; they take rides on USN ships and aircraft, and participate in summer two-week trainings.

They must be of good moral character and make good grades in school. We teach the USN core values-Honor, Courage and Commitment. Cadets are under no obligation to join the military later, but if they attain the rank of E-3 with us, they are considered for an advanced rank should they join the military when they are of age.

There are  five units operating in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean Division in San Juan, Mahan Division in Aguadilla, Moscrip Battalion in Ceiba,
American Legion Post No. 4, Guayama, and the San German. Division in San German. For more

Heads up to all college bound cadets regarding an upcoming opportunity for a first hand, up close look at The United States Coast Guard Academy. More

Muster is at 0745 and dismissal is at 1600. A typical drill session starts with the muster, presentation of the colors, uniform inspection, PT, lunch and two afternoon training sessions. The training sessions are a mix of military customs, courtesies, military drills, and technology. During the next quarter we will be teaching several courses in First Aid, CPR  and Marine Navigation as well as others. Courses are instructed by our staff, guest speakers, and Naval and Coast Guard personal. Yearly, we attend a two week boot-camp in Camp Santiago, usually in July. Once a cadet has completed boot-camp the cadet will be eligible to attend Advanced Trainings throughout the states.
